Scrapfreak Blog Challange - Gone Too Soon

Heath Ledger's death this week reminded me of a recent People Magazine publication I saw a few weeks ago titled Gone Too Soon: Remembering 65 Celebrities Who Died Too Young. Elvis, Princess Diana, John Lennon... all gone before their time. While I do not know any celebrities personally they still sometimes touch my life with their influence in art, music, acting, etc. and when they die young it saddens me to lose their talent. Are there any celebrities *gone too soon* in your life? Who do you miss seeing? What do you miss about them?

Well, she is a celebrity to me so the first celebrity is my mom, she was my absolute best friend, she was always there for me and my brothers. She had the best heart in the world, she helped so many people and have them stay at our her home and help them out onto their feet. She never turned away someone in need, she would make food for those people that came knocking at our door looking for a handout. She was such a talented lady, she sewed like a professional, oil painted, crocheted, did beautiful bead work. I wish I had her talent. She has been gone for 14 years now and I miss her like if it was yesterday.

Anyway, on to my Celebrity. I will pick Princess Diana. She was such a beautiful person. I miss seeing and hearing about all the good she was doing for the poor, for spreading Aids Awareness, for her contribution to get rid of the landmines. Her work was always on a humanitarian rather than a political level which I loved.

Rain, Rain......

Go away.......It's been raining here since Sunday and they say it will continue until Monday (01/28). We have not done much but stay inside and try to enterain a 30 month old. I have been able to clean my little scrap area and get two layouts done, so in all this rain is not so bad.

How much is to much?

Today was back-up all photos to Cd's day. I backed-up over 3,000+ photos today. The last time I backed-up our photos was in May, then I had backed-up over 5,000+ photos. I don't know about you but I think that is a lot of pictures in a course of 2years. Then I went to put away the Cd's, where our other pictures are at and realized, we have whole lot of pictures and I mean a lot. We have pictures of every event and places we've traveled to, pictures of every family member or friends that have come to visit us from Cuba, Florida, New York, Maryland, Puerto Rico, we have pictures that out parents have given us from our childhood and photos of great great great grandparents. What I'm I going to do with all these photos!!. I am happy we have all these photos for my family and children to enjoy, like I am enjoying the little pictures of my and Georges childhood. But seriously, how much is to much? There is no way I will be able to scrap all of these and if I did how many albums will we have when I finish.Geez......Oy Vey! What to do! What to do!

Our blog challenge at Scrapfreak this week is to blog *Our Song*. A song that is special between us and another person. This one was easy for me. I chose mine and Georges wedding song, this is the song played during our candle ceremony. George is a big Beatles fan, so we chose this song as our song.

7. vacation as an adult? San Francisco , California with George (It was our first getaway as boyfriend and girlfriend) :D It was an awesome trip.

9. living arrangement after moving out of your parents' home? Lived in a 2 bedroom, 2 story apartment in Redondo Beach when I got married.

Here is another layout for 2008!! My friend and neighbor came over last night to scrap. It was great to scrap with someone. We scraped til Midnight and chatted just about everything. I was showing her my Cricut and I cut the title out for this layout. At first we both thought it was to big but we were wrong. I just love the way this all came together. Not exactly how I wanted it, but I love it.

This is Briana taking her first steps, just weeks before her 1st birthday. Ain't she a cutie! LOL!

It's 2008

I can not believe its 2008!! Where has the year gone. I did a little bit of scraping yesterday. I was driving George crazy just moping around, so I tried doing some layouts with my burned left hand. It was not so bad. Here is what I was able to accomplish.
