2011 Project Life

Here is what I've been working on, my Becky Higgins project life album. I decided to start doing the album this year. I am really enjoying working on the album, even though I've been behind in putting it together. Four months into it, I have not missed taking the Picture of the Day. I am so doing this again next year.

I will be back soon!!

Hello everyone!!! Yes, I am still alive. Sorry been missing these past few months. Life has been very hectic since the move to our new state Texas and having a Kindergartner and a Toddler now keeps me busy and active. I will be blogging and scrapping again, I really miss it and it does keep me sane and keeps me stress free, which I so need it. I have been working on Becky Higgins Project Life album, even though I am behind in putting it together I have not missed taking a single photo everyday. Thanks for stopping by and understanding. Now to start all over on this blogging and scrapping. See you soon.

Sunday Seven

1. Was finally getting some good sleep in the morning, until it hit. A 2.9 earthquake at 8:39am woke me and Briana up, Ugh! I was sleeping so good, very rare these days that I sleep in that late. Oh well, just glad it was a small shake.

2. We are finally having some fall weather. Its not to cold nor to hot, just right. Today's high was 71 and cloudy, but the low will be about 45 tonight. Its also suppose to rain on Tuesday and Wednesday, lets see if they are right.

3. On Thursday, Briana and I went shopping. I wanted to buy me some fall shoes that I can just slip on. Its getting pretty hard to bend over and tie my shoe laces. We ended up at Kohl's and found some comfortable shoes and a great sale on baby clothes. Was not going buy any, but you can't beat 60% off of some cute baby clothes. I also bought Briana a blouse and her first Levis jeans. She did not want me to buy her anything, she kept dragging me to the baby side to buy her baby brother some clothes...Love it!!!

4. I am now 30 weeks pregnant, we are getting there. So far so good. I did have to go take the 3 hour glucose test....yuck!!! Hopefully, the results will be good. Please pray that it does.

5. Well, its been a month since George started his new VP position. So far they love him, they seen his department changes going rapidly. He has a few bad apples, but there will always be some. So far we are adjusting okay. Can't wait to do the final move, so we can all be together. Briana and I miss him a lot, just like I know he miss us too.

6. I tried to scrap something yesterday and today, but didn't. I have absolutely no scrappy mojo. None. Nada. I even went through the massive of photos that we have to see if any would do the trick, nope. none. I will keep trying, I need to get my mojo back before the baby comes and the move happens. Sigh!

7. I'm totally being lazy today watching TV, playing on the computer, playing with Briana. It's nice to just chill out. Well, that is not completely true. I did bag all of Brianas summer clothes and took out her fall/winter clothes. I did the same with my summer maternity clothes and found my fall/winter ones and placed them to wash. So really not a complete lazy day. Right?

Have a great week everyone! {{HUGS}}

Sunday Seven

1-Well the adventure has already started this week-end for us. George arrived in TX on Saturday night. Took him less time then I thought. He left here late Friday morning. He did good time and everything went good. No problems. Just when he arrived in TX it was pouring rain, thunderstorms at times so that slowed him a bit. But made it. So glad I was really worried about him driving down there by himself.

2-Well, I am now 26 weeks pregnant, per my ultrasound. So far so good. Little boy moves a lot and I am feeling much better, more energy. I was getting nervous on how tired I was feeling, at my last appointment my OB said my iron level was borderline, but he was not to worried about it just yet. He wants to wait til my next appointment to check it again and do my diabetes blood work to see if its gotten any better.

3-This week-end I actually scrapped a little. I did a card and a layout. Felt good to get my mojo back. Here is the layout I did.

I actually love the way it came it. Our first glimpse of our little boy. The ultrasound pictures is the full body of him, his little feet, and the last one is of his little boy part (hehehe). I can't wait to meet my little boy. Love him already.

4-Thinking of doing a weekly menu for me and Briana. She is a good eater, but there are times she just does not want to eat certain things. She sometimes refuses to eat colored rice, like if I make Congri (black beans and rice, Cuban dish) she won't eat it, cause the rice is not white. She will only eat white rice...oy vey! I am going to go buy a small rice cooker just for the two of us, like that I won't waste rice since I am used to making a lot for all three of us.

5-Sitting here tonight, waiting for George to call and while Briana is sleeping. I started our Babies R Us Registry. I wanted to get a feel of what we need for our little boy. I am glad all the major purchases we already have, like the crib, dresser, bassinet, stroller, infant car seat. All we really in need of is clothes, blankets, bottles, diapers, maybe a few other things here and there.

6-I have also been doing a little bit of cleaning/purging of things. Trying to eliminate things that we really do not need to take with us. I have tons of vases of millions of flowers George would sent me, seriously how many vases does a girl need. We also have lots of clothes that can go, stuff I have not worn since I left the Corporate world 8 years ago. Not sure if I should just give to the Salvation Army or try to sell things. I have noticed our area garage sells are not so good. We shall see.

7-Today, George met with a realtor and they previewed some homes. This realtor has been great, she took him around the areas and he got to preview a few homes. None he really thought would work for us. Says some floor plans were weird (compared to the homes here) or some homes our furniture would not fit. He did love the feel of the areas he was looking at, so different from here in California. He kept saying that we will love it there. I hope so.

That's about it for now. Just some ramblings of whats been going on with the Heredias.

Thanks for stopping by my little pad. {{HUGS}}

Sunday Seven

Good Sunday Morning/Afternoon everyone. Lots going on in the Heredia Family.

1. On Friday, we found out we are having a little boy. Here's the ultrasound picture they gave us. We have a few more, but these are the most important one. The last one shows his little wee wee....he he he. It was funny when the Ultrasound Technician showed us the Pe*is....Briana was with us and she thought the the lady said Peanuts......she told us that was silly that the baby was eating peanuts....LOL!!! Love my little girl!.

2. I am now 24 weeks, per the Technician. So the due date is more closer to my Birthday, then Christmas. Will have to wait and see what my doctor says on my next appointment. Since I will be having a c-section, they up the delivery to about 7-10 days of your due date.

3. George was offered an Executive position. He thought about really hard and we went over some things and thought it was a great opportunity. The way the economy is and the Real Estate business here is slow we figure we need to get back on track and have a more steady income, instead of a Self-employed income that is barely anything. So last week, he accepted the offer. The catch to all of this is that the company and position is in Texas. So we will be moving to Texas real soon.

4. My nephew Brandon is excited we are moving to Texas, he is in Arlington right now. Just moved there a few months ago. He will not be alone anymore, he will have us and we will have him to help out whenever we need something. He is the best.

5. We had a surprise visit this afternoon by Muso and Regina. They are such great people. They bought lunch for all of us and lots of goodies for Briana. We've been trying to get together for a while and they just decided to show up and surprise us. Good thing we were home.

6. I actually scrapped a little today. It felt good. I really needed to do something else to distract and relax me a little from all the big changes happening around us. So much has happened this year that its just over whelming sometimes and with these pregnancy hormones, well very emotional too.

7. Speaking of Scrapbooking, Scrapfreak will be hosting a a private crop to benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. Your crop donation is only $10, and all proceeds will be donated to Susan G. Komen. You can reserve your spot or simply make a donation here. be sure to mark your calendars for September 26th for our ScrapPink crop!

Happy Fathers Day!!

Happy Father Day, Babe!!! You are such a great Father to our little girl. I love you.

We had a nice relaxing Fathers Day here at at home. Just the 3 of us. George did not want to do anything but relax, and relax he did. He slept in and also took a 4 hour nap...LOL! Poor guy really needed some sleep. After his all day sleeping, he rode his bike out with his little girl and we barbecued some steaks. That's about all we did, just what he wanted. It was a perfect day.

This is the card I did for him....well Briana helped me and I had her write something inside....She told me what to write and we wrote it together...;D

That's about it for now. Thanks for visiting me. {HUGS}

Hello my Friends

Not much has been happening around here, just the usually family household things. I am now approx. 10 weeks along, even though I look bigger than that (so I've been told by my loving husband). I still get very tired and just want to sleep all day and I am eating every 2 hours...Argh!! Briana is adjusting well with my belly, she still says she does not want brother and sister (notice she says "and", we keep telling her its "or"), she just wants her daddy....gotta love a toddler. She does care in her own way, she sometimes brings me a bottle water or a Hershey's kisses and says its for brother and sister to feel good....LOL! Love her!!!

I have been getting back to scrap booking, getting my mojo back...yeah!!!

I did this layout with the Marks Paper Company, love this line. I bought the kit from Citrus Tree Studio and entered it in the manufacture contest at Scrapfreak. I need to see if I can scan it a little bit better. I also did some other things with this line, I just need to take a picture of them.

That's about it for now. Just wanted everyone to know we are doing good.
Thanks for stopping by. {{{HUGS}}}

What a Beautiful Sunday

Love lazy Sundays. Not much happening with us, just lots of work has come in so we've been pretty busy. I did manage to get a layout done today for a challenge at SD4U. Briana and I had a pedicure this afternoon and then we are off to my brothers house for some BBQ and family fun time. Its going to be fun, its beautiful outside, 95 and very windy. You really do not feel the heat that much with this wind....LOL! George is already complaining that its going to be murder in the summer here. We shall see. He is such a baby. He hates the heat and I love it. :D

Here is the layout I did today. The colors are so off, scanner hates pink for some reason. I will need to re-do it tomorrow.

This is our Briana, the dancing queen. She loves it when I put music on, she especially loves Rhianna's Disturbia song.

Thanks for visiting.

It's March Already!!

Can't believe it's March already!....this year is just flying.

Not much has been going on with us. Just trying not to live in boxes. The new place is looking more like a home than a house, which is really good. Briana has adjusted well, better than I expected. She has been sleeping in her own bed and loves playing outside everyday. This is something she did not do at the other house, she never wanted to go ride her bike in the backyard or front yard, here she rides all the time.

Don't really have lots to share,I have not really scrapped I think its been 2 months. Really itching to start, hopefully this week. Here are a few things going around this month with the scrappy sites I visit.

I'm PLAYING along this month at the Birthday Crop at SD4U
Come join the MONTH long party!! Great challenges, and prizes and great kits!

and Scrapfreak is turning 2 this month. Awesome place, lots of fun ladies. Come join us at their Birthday Bash, it will be lots of fun. Make sure you tell them Yvette (Yvie) sent you.

Photobucket

And in other news. I tried out for the Citrus Tree Studio design team, first time I try out for the design team. Yesterday, they made the annoucement of the new Design team, I did not make the team. Really did not expect too, but I did get asked to be one of their Guest Designers for the Spring/Summer `09 term, probably for the month of September, will have to see once the month gets closer. Cindy has really great kits and awesome prices for them too. This months kit looks so yummy, can't wait to get my hands on them. I don't have any of the Marks Paper Company or any S.E.I collections and looks so yummy!!!

Heres a sneak peak of the kit. Goes on Thursday, March 5th.

My Splash Layout

I made this layout last week for a Freaky Friday Challenge over at Scrapfreak. Jessica, asked me if I wanted to come up with a challenge for this month. I agreed, and came up with this challenge.

My challenge for the members was...

1. Create a summer fun layout

2. Use a minimum of 2 photos

3. For the title - use a minimum of 4 different fonts (you may use rub-ons, stickers, chipboard, etc).

I got to tell you, I came up with this challenge, not knowing how hard it was going to be for me to come up with my different fonts...My challenge was a challenge for me......LOL! But over all, I loved the way my layout came out, it's one of my favorites. I just can not believe this is my little girl last summer. She just loved her pool!

Thanks Jess, for letting me come up with a challenge for this month. It was fun!

Also, I also wanted to let you know, that this layout was picked today as "Layout of the Week" over at Scrapbook Deals 4 U by Amy Birch, she is one of the very talented Design Members there. You should head on over at SD4U and check them out, they are a pretty new website and they have lots of talented and fun ladies over there.

Thank you Amy for making my day.

That is it for now. Thanks for stopping by {HUGS}

It's Out!!

There it is my name in print. The June issue of Creating Keepsakes is out and so is my little story in the "In Your Words" column. George went out and got me two issues one to keep somewhere safe and the other to get torn up if it needs to be. He is so awesome! Now I just need to stalk my mail woman for my Computer Tricks 2 magazine....Woo-Hoo!!!

Awesome photo taken by my friend April at Scrapfreak.

This Made my Day!

I just received an e-mail from Creating Keepsakes. They are going to publish my answer to their Junes "In Your Words" question. I had submitted my answer for fun, I had totally forgotten about it. The best part is they will be sending me a copy of Computer Tricks for Scrapbooking 2 in about a month after the June 2008 CK issue is available. I can't wait!!!

My Mini Album

Not much happening around here lately. Life has been hectic these past few days. Briana has had that bad stomach flu and is just now getting better. Thank goodness.

I just finished this 6x6 Bo Bunny Naked Binder Album. It's Georges and I love story. It was so much fun to do, to look back at our pictures when we were dating and our married life together. We still need to fill it out and put in our thoughts. I just love the way it turned out, it's so much prettier in person. Here is some pictures. I did not take pictures of all the pages, just some to give you a peek inside.

Thanks for visting me. {HUGS}

Rain, Rain......

Go away.......It's been raining here since Sunday and they say it will continue until Monday (01/28). We have not done much but stay inside and try to enterain a 30 month old. I have been able to clean my little scrap area and get two layouts done, so in all this rain is not so bad.

Here are the two layouts I did this week.

Well, that is it for now. Like I said not much happening around here.
