Swim Lessons and Night Out

Been a bit busy these past few weeks. Briana has taken two weeks of swim lessons with the YMCA at our friends pool. Her first two days were awful, she did not want to go in and wanted nothing to do with her instructor, just cried. After her 3rd day, I just got her and gave her a push, pushed her to her instructor, so glad I did. She has done so good and loves her instructor DeeDee and loves going swimming now. I am so proud of her, I can't wait to get her more swim lessons for her.

Also a week ago, George and I went to one of his clients restaurants grand opening-Cantina Lounge in the city of Fullerton, CA. We had a great time, meet great people. The food was excellent! The menu and price is just awesome. The restaurant is not only a restaurant, its a sports bar and night club with tons of flat screens surrounding the entire restaurant, check out their website to see the inside. I can't wait to go back there with some friends. Oh, I just found out they have $2.00 Taco Tuesdays...love it!

After we left the Cantina Lounge, we went to go see Tropic Thunder. George had been an extra on the movie so we wanted to go see if they would show him at all. Well, they did not. Darn! But the scene that he was in was when Speedman (Ben Stiller) is accepting his academy award for his movie, George was in the audience. He said they filmed that scene a thousand times, about 15 hours and all they showed was not even a minute of it. LOL! The movie all in all was okay, so parts were funny, others were not. It's not a movie I would of gone seen or rented.

That is all for now. Thanks for visiting my pad. {HUGS}

Beautiful Saturday

Our day started like any other day, George had an inspection to do today and Briana did not wake up until 9:54am (EEK!) This was a big shocker to me as she has never slept that long. I so enjoyed my Mommy Time, I so needed it. I had a quite breakfast, read a magazine, and saw some Olympic events (Equestrian, Beach Volleyball, Skulls, and some Indoor Volleyball).

When George came home, he wanted to go to the beach, we've been wanting to go for a while, and things just kept getting in the way. So, this time, we just grabbed some stuff and left to the beach. Love that we only live about 30+/- minutes away. I was so surprised that we found parking right away and the beach was not crowded at all. It was perfect. The weather at the there was very windy and warm about 73 degrees, a perfect day.

Briana at first did not want to get wet, just wanted to play in the sand, eventually, in her own time she wanted to go in and she loved it. I am now a little sunburned, Briana got a little tanned.

Here are some pictures from our day a the beach.

We are God Parents

What a week-end. We've had family over on Friday evening, then some friends came by for a small visit and for some cafecito. Had a great time.

Saturday morning, George and I became God-Parents to this beautiful baby girl-Annabell. Who at the same day turned 1 years old.

I am so disappointed that we did not get any good pictures of the baptism. The priest announced we could not take pictures......WTH!! is what I asked my self. The church has its own photographers and they will take the pictures, and after the ceremony you can see them and purchase them....again.......WTH!! What has happened, since when did this church become so commercial. My uncles friend try to take some, but he was not sure how he would be able without them saying anything. He did sneak a few....LOL!

Now, I was raised Catholic and I admit I have not gone to every single Sunday mass, as they would like for us to go. Its hard to go with a toddler that does not stay still. But, we try. The church where we had the Baptism was where my brothers, cousins, friends and I did either our Holy Communion, Confirmations, Graduations, and Weddings. Its the only church we found that the God Parents did not have to been married in a Catholic Church and does the baptisms every week-end. My heart was so broken, when I saw so much difference in this church, the church in the city where my family has lived for over 30 years and still counting, where I had my childhood.

For as long as I can remember, my parents and the church has had a dress code, the proper way to dress to go to mass. My goodness, the outfits we saw on these women!!! They looked as they were going clubbing and some looked as if they were, and I am serious when I say this and sorry if I offend anyone, they looked like they were hooking the streets. George and I were so surprised, shocked, and ashamed.

I just hope Briana and Annabell listens to me, when I tell them the proper way to dress to go to any mass, any place and teach her the old ways of the church, as my parents have teached me.

I will get off my soapbox and show you my little one at my Uncles house, riding one of the horses. She did not want to come home after this little ride and all the birthday party fun we had for my god-daughter. In all it was a great tiring week-end.

Thanks for stopping by my little pad and reading my little tantrum.....LOL!!
