My Splash Layout

I made this layout last week for a Freaky Friday Challenge over at Scrapfreak. Jessica, asked me if I wanted to come up with a challenge for this month. I agreed, and came up with this challenge.

My challenge for the members was...

1. Create a summer fun layout

2. Use a minimum of 2 photos

3. For the title - use a minimum of 4 different fonts (you may use rub-ons, stickers, chipboard, etc).

I got to tell you, I came up with this challenge, not knowing how hard it was going to be for me to come up with my different fonts...My challenge was a challenge for me......LOL! But over all, I loved the way my layout came out, it's one of my favorites. I just can not believe this is my little girl last summer. She just loved her pool!

Thanks Jess, for letting me come up with a challenge for this month. It was fun!

Also, I also wanted to let you know, that this layout was picked today as "Layout of the Week" over at Scrapbook Deals 4 U by Amy Birch, she is one of the very talented Design Members there. You should head on over at SD4U and check them out, they are a pretty new website and they have lots of talented and fun ladies over there.

Thank you Amy for making my day.

That is it for now. Thanks for stopping by {HUGS}

Our Fathers Day

Well, I was a good wife and let George sleep in til 10am. Tell you, it was hard to do, Briana kept wanting to go wake him up, she usually does when she wakes up at 7am. We had a special breakfast, his favorite-Pancakes. I was coaching Briana to say "Happy Fathers Day, Daddy" all morning. That went real good, I was surprised, she kept telling me that she was going to tell him "Happy Birthday, Daddy!", but when he woke up, she told him Happy Fathers Day, Daddy! and gave him a big hug, kiss, and his card. Yup, she sure is a daddy's girl!. I did this card for him, but had Briana sign her name (with my help) and I put in a daughter to father poem inside. He loved it.

We went to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA for Fathers Day. We had such a great time. Briana was so in awe with everything she saw and she loved watching the Seals, she kept wanting to go see them. So most of the time we were watching the seals, they were so playful. After the Aquarium closed, we walked around the Harbor and headed home, that was not easy, Briana started to cry and scream all the way to the car, she wanted to go back and see the fishes and the seals, trying to explain to a 2 year old that the aquarium closed and we are not able to go back was not easy. She finally calmed down and as soon as we left the parking structure she was fast asleep. Poor girl was wiped out! LOL!

Here are some pictures from our day.

a) George and Briana looking at some fishes.
b) Brianas favorite exhibit-the seals
c) Briana petting a baby shark-was surprised she was not afraid.
d) George & Briana watching the two divers feed all those fishes.
***I took these pictures with the Sony A200, I need to get used to it.

House for Sale

Well, after a lot of thought and deliberation we have made the decision to put our house for sale, last week. George and I are sad, this is the house we wanted to raise our children, but we have to do what's best for us and I am sure god has other plans for us. The real estate business is not what it used to be. Work is very slow for a lot of us in this business. A few of our friends who are in the same field, have placed their homes for sale or some have lost everything. I am very sad, but at the same time excited. Once the house sales, we can be debt free and take alot of things off our shoulders. We have decided to rent for awhile and then take our time searching for a new place to call our home and add to our family.

I hope and pray that the house sales fast and we can get to the next chapter of our lives and not go bankrupt, with how the economy is right now.

Hello!

Hi everyone!! I am still here just nothing really to blog about lately. I have been scrapping a bit and just enjoying some beautiful weather with Briana, playing outside with her T-Ball, bike and shes learning to skate.

A few days ago, George found out he needs minor knee cap surgery for his torn meniscus. Its a out patient surgery, so he is not to nervous. He will have to have crutches for at least 2 weeks and then some physical therapy. He is not sure, when he will have the surgery. The Dr. said its not an emergency, but he would like to have it done by the end of the month.
