Busy-Tiring-Stressful Monday 11/09/2009

Ugh, what a busy Monday monring it was. I had so many appointments it was crazy. I had to get my in-laws to babysit Briana too and that was stressful. They just got over their cold and we were not sure if they were 100% better, but we had no one else to leave her with. My regular babysitters stated working and going to College so they are pretty much busy too.

I was glad George was able to stay one more day, his new Boss and job are so understanding and pretty much love him over there. They let him take as many days he needs to take care of stuff here and take care of me and Briana. I really needed him with me on these appointments.

One of my doctors appointment was at the hospital. I had to see my gestational diabetes nutritionist and dietitian to go over my blood sugar levels I monitor every week. Good news! I am doing perfect, I now only have to monitor my self 3 days a week instead all 7 days..YAY!!

The next appointment was with an Ultrasound technician. They wanted to see how my amniotic fluid is doing and check things out. Baby looked good, moving a lot and being stubborn already, the technician could not get a good picture of him. He was having his back to us. I guess he did not want to be bothered.......LOL!

Next person was another technician, she is going to be monitoring the baby's heart beat after each movement and while he is resting. The test is called the Non stress Test.A technician straps two devices to your belly. One monitors your baby's heartbeat and movement; the other records contractions. The test usually takes 20 to 60 minutes. Per the technician everything looked good. I was there for 35 mins.

After like 1 1/2 hours of being at the hospital, when I went to schedule my appointment the nurse told me that Cashier downstairs needed Georges employment information, which I thought was weird, cause it was on the paper she gave me. So off me and George went to see her...well it turns out that our Insurance provider is no longer on contract with this hospital and will not be covering my visits or delivery.....WHAT!!!! You got to be kidding!! After going back and forth, told her we will call our insurance and see what can be done. I so upset and pissed. I am suppose to have the baby in a month and they come out with this.

After the hospital, we had time to go back home, eat lunch and pick-up Briana to go to my OB/GYN appointment and let the in-laws go, before they hit traffic, they hate driving in rush hour and at night, so we had to rush....gee!

Meanwhile, George goes online and gets a list of hospitals that our insurance will cover and pray to god that my OB/GYN is a member of too. Off to my OB/GYN's appointment. Lost 1/2 pound and blood pressure was high, not to bad, but the RN asked me if I was feeling okay. Told her its been a stressful day. The Dr. comes in and tells me heard you've had a stressful day, so George told him the situation with the hospital and to see if he was a member of any other hospital that he can deliver the baby.....Thank goodness, he was!!!! Yay!! After my check-up he went ahead and worked fast to get us scheduled for my December 11Th c-section, get the authorization from our insurance for the new hospital, gave us new paperwork to fill out and told me to stay a little bit and relax to see if my blood pressure will go down. It did. While there I also asked him about the H1N1 shot, We wanted to know more info about it and he did. So while waiting for all of the other paperwork, I got my H1N1 Flu shot....it hurt!!! Will just a little.

After all these appointments, it was time (4:30pm)to take George to the airport (although his plane leaves at 6:25pm), the Orange county one, which means its 4pm and we going to hit rush hour traffic on the way home...lovely. But of course, before taking him to the airport, he noticed one of the car tires was low, so we took it to the tire shop and they said it has a leak, but they can't fix it because the hole is on the side of the tire. So we had to get a new tire and have them put it fast or George would miss his plane. They did, they were awesome. Off to the airport, go there in 35 mins, not bad. But going home that took me an hour and 1/2 to get home. Ugh! How I hate the traffic here in California.

So now I am home trying to relax and hopefully go to bed early.

That all that has been going on here. Hope you had a non stressful Monday. {{HUGS}}
