Sick....Sick.....Sick

I can not believe it is Thursday. I have been sick since Monday early morning. I had a fever for two days and a sore throat and ear infection, they are still hanging around. Today I woke up with a stuffed up nose and my eyes are feeling heavy. This is so not a good week.

I hope everyone else is doing good and keep warm.

Thanks for visiting my little place.

Holiday Weekend

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. This year it was just the three of us. Our families went different ways. My older brother went to his In-Laws, my other brother decided to stay in Vegas, since my SIL had to work, my dad went to his In-Laws. George's parents decided to go to Hawaii with his sister and her husband (they don't celebrate, Jehovah witness). It's all good. I cooked a small turkey breast for the three of us, came out yummy. I did roasted mashed potatoes, rice, black beans, crescents, and baked a chocolate cake. We were stuffed! We played with Briana and saw a movie (Oceans Thirteen). It was a great night, no real big mess, no stress, no drama this year!

I debated about waking up early and do the whole Black Friday thing, I wanted to go get Briana's present that was on sale at Walmart, but found out I can get it online and get it shipped for free to the store. I just won't get it right away, which is fine with me, cause if I get now I will give it to her. So, I did my Black Friday shopping online, no crowds to deal with, love online shopping!!

That is it for now. Thank you for stopping by. {HUGS}

It's Thanksgiving... It's a time for sharing and spreading happiness with all those we love...In honor of the Thanksgiving holiday, here are 11 things that I'm thankful for.

1) My Husband (George)- He is my best friend, soulmate. He is my rock.

2) My Daughter (Briana)-She is my world, I can not imagine my life without her.

3) My Family--We are a small family with a huge heart, we are always there for one another in good times and in bad.

4) Home-Thankful we have a roof over our heads and a place to fill with love.

5) Friends-We have very few close friends, but we are more like a family more than anything. They are there for you when ever you need them in good times and in bad times.

6) Health-Thankful that my family are all healthy.

7) On-Line Friends-I have met so many people through message boards and blogs. Some I have met and others I hope to meet someday. You guys are the best!!!

8) Scrapbooking-This hobby of mine is the best! I love documenting my family commings and goings so my family and children will never forget their heritage.

9) My Faith-I do not go very often to church, like I used to, but I do have strong beliefs thanks to my mom, dad, and grandma.

10) Music-I love music, don't know what I would do without music in my life. I lifts my spirts when I need it the most.

11) Nature-I love the outdoors so much. What would life be without the birds chirpping in the morning, the butterflies roaming in the flowers. Love it!

My Little Angel

Perfect Even In Death
by Lil' Red

No one remembers,
I cannot say why
Only thing I keep thinking
Is that nobody tried

You were mine, only mine
No one knew you like me
I don't know why He couldn't
Just let you be

We shared so much
In our short time together,
And the time that we shared
Has made memories forever

So much I learned,
So much I lost -
Everything turned, toppled
And tossed

Butterfly flutters, then turns
And kicks . . .
Then, that sad day . . .
Was my mind playing tricks?

No cry, no movement,
not even a Breath . . .
As you lay on my tummy -
Perfect even in death

When I think of you now
At the age you would be,
A beautiful "big boy"
Is the child I see

My son you were,
My son you'll always be
And One -
That is us;
You and Me

Adrian, today marks 5 years that I lost you, yet it feels like yesterday that I lost my little prince. The pain and anger never goes away,it just gets easier to hide. Today all my feelings of anger, shock, and indescribable sorrow came back. I know one day I will hold you in my arms.

I Love You my little angel!

Scrapbooker's Bill of Rights

I read this in Nicole's (NicoleHB)blog today and just had to put it here for you all to read.

The Scrapbooker's Bill of Rights: A Scrapbooker is entrusted with documenting and safely preserving family photos in an album to be treasured by future generations. Creating a Scrapbook is an honorable and important task. As a Scrapbooker, you are entitled (but not limited) to the following rights:

1. You have the right to take as long as you want to complete one album page. This may be five minutes or two weeks.

2. You have the right to purchase a certain scrapbook item for other reason than because

a) you like it
b) you think it's cute
c) you'll never find it again or
d) you know you'll use it someday.

3. You have the right to a workspace of your own. This may be the basement, your college student's old bedroom, or the kitchen table.

4. You have the right to scrapbook when inspiration strikes--whether the dishes are done or not.

5. You have the right to request peaceful, kid-free, stress-less scrap time--guilt-free.

6. You have the right to create pages that reflect and celebrate the spirit of the one person who is usually NOT in the photograph: You.

7. You have the right to put whatever you want on your album page—whether or not it's the latest trend.

8. You have the right to do nothing more than snack and socialize at a 6-hour cropping party.

9. You have the right to value your personal scrapbooking style to be as important as your photographs. You are creating a treasure—and part of that treasure is you.

10. You have the right to create your own legacy, one page at a time.

Hope everyone is doing well. Thanks for visiting my little place.

My Daddy!!

My dad, what can I say about him....I love him to death. He will be 72 years old next month, he is very healthy..thank goodness. He works like crazy, never stops, he has had only 3 jobs in his entire life here in the USA (he came from Cuba in the 60's). Well, last week-end he bought himself the 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse (his car is red). How can my dad drive such a cool sporty car then his 30 something daughter! LOL! I am happy for him and I hope he enjoys his new car.

My Crazy George

My wonderful husband and his craziness. He answered an ad last week-end wanting Extras for a movie. They wanted a picture of him wearing a tux. Well, the last time he wore a tux was at our wedding 11 years ago. He sent in this picture, I call it his James Bond look (LOL).

We were laughing, cause what are the chances to call him to go to the movie shoot, right. Well, the next day the casting company called and told him they loved his picture and to show up Tuesday afternoon for a tux fitting and today, Friday Nov. 2ND for the movie shoot. Go figure! He is at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles filming right now. The Shrine is where they do the Emmy Awards.

I know, I know you guys want to know for what movie......right? Here is the info He was able to tell me.

Movie Title: Tropic Thunder Movie Genre: Comedy

Director & Producer: Ben Stiller Release Date : July 11, 2008

Cast: Ben Stiller, Robert Downey, JR, Jack Black, Nick Nolte. Matthew McConaughey (he took Owen Wilsons part).

This is what I found about the movie.

a comedy about five actors who go on location and find themselves relying on their boot camp experiences when they get stuck in a real war-like situation." Black will play Jeff "Fats" Portnoy, an overweight gross-out comedian, who's forced to kick his drug addiction while filming on location in the jungle. Downey Jr. will play Kirk Lazarus, the greatest actor of his generation and a four-time Oscar winner. Baruchel will play Kevin Sandusky, an unknown actor on the set and Stiller plays Speedman.
