Days do Fly By

Wow! Where has the days gone, they have been flying by since the time change. Ever since this time change, I just can't keep up. I've been going to sleep late and waking up late too!. Briana has been the same way, she won't go to sleep til around 10pm or 11pm and has been taking her naps at 3pm. Not much has been going on in the Heredia household, just the usual. Housework, work, dealing with a toddler.

I will leave you with some pictures of my cute house cleaner

Don't you just love her shirt. I found this at Target and just had to get it. :)

As always thank you for stopping by. HUGS!

It's Almost Spring Time

Thought I would share some pictures from our backyard.

Here is our daily little visitor. He's been showing up in our backyard the last couple of days. I think he is so cute!

I love our water fountain. Love sitting in our backyard and enjoying the noise of the water fall.

Some of our flowers are already blooming.

Another little visitor.

This is a picture of a bunch of white birds flying over our heads today. They were pretty up high. I need a better camera and lens. Where are our clouds? Love the blue sky.

Hope you enjoyed the visit. HUGS!

A Day Outside

These last few days have been so hot and beautiful, that I went out and bought Briana a slide and swing set for out backyard. She always loves being outside and now even more. I love seen her say "wee wee", when she goes down the slide. We were outside for most of the day, she just would not want to come inside the house. Oh! the fun we will have in the summer. I can't wait!

Of course here are some pictures. Enjoy!

Little Tikes Slide and Swing Set

Wee! Wee!

I see you Daddy!

As always, Thank you for stopping by. HUGS!

Yesterday-A Day at the Zoo

George and I decided to take Briana to the Santa Ana Zoo. It's a small
zoo and park near our house. The zoo is about 20 acres and has been
there since 1952. It has about 50 monkeys, you can find the a rain
forest, an aviary, and a steam train. It was our first time there and
we had fun. Just watching my little girl looking at all the animals and
playing with other little ones, was fun and tiring.

A Day with Great-Grandma

Briana and I went to go see my Grandmother on Thursday, we had such a great day. We spent all day with her, my grandmother had such a blast with Briana's craziness. While I was there, a few family friends came over to see my Grandmother. I haven't seen them since I was a teenager, it was great seeing all these people and hearing stories about my parents when they were back in Cuba.

Here are some pictures of my Grandmother (91 years old) and Briana (19 months old)

As you can see Briana would not stay still, not even for a second for me to take a picture. It's so difficult to take a picture of a very active toddler.

Thank you for stopping by. HUGS!!

Congratulations, Honey!

George's short film My Bus Stop has been selected for it's world premiere at the local San Fernando Valley International Film Festival! I am so proud of him, this was one of those crazy ideas he's been wanting to do a long time.

He shot the film in the beginning of September and finished editing, color corrected, etc., in the end of December. He wrote the script, auditioned actors and actresses, and directed for the very first time.

We submitted his film only to a few Short Film festivals and this is the first one that has responded. Some film festivals will take awhile to find out if they will accept his film for showing. They will be showing his film on the big screen on the week-end of his birthday March 17 , which is the best present he can get, how will I ever top that! LOL. On the 25Th of March, we will be attending the Gala Awards Ceremony, wish him luck on winning an award. :)

Check out the Trailer (just click on the Quicktime picture) and give me a review of what you think about his short. Remember you have to have QuickTime to be able to see the trailer. You can also see it at YouTube

Here is the e-mail he received.
